To mark the start of National Customer Service Week, we held an interactive webinar where we discussed how our Academy can help enhance the service skills, confidence, and capabilities of teams at all levels. The session included an overview of our Academy offering, including our wide range of workshops, qualifications and training courses, as well as a member discussion with Sara McCann, Team Manager, Customer Excellence Hub at Scottish Water.

On Wednesday, we launched our brand new podcast, ‘Causon & The Customer’. In this first episode, our CEO, Jo Causon, sat down with Chris Pitt, CEO of first direct, to explore what it truly takes to lead with service in mind. From driving customer-centric strategies to understanding customer needs, Chris shared invaluable insights on effective service leadership and the evolving customer landscape.

Breakthrough Research NCSW 2024

 | Thursday:

On Thursday, we discussed the link between risk, reputation & trust.

Our Breakthrough Research, ‘Who do you Trust’, examines the influence of customers’ experiences with organisations on their levels of trust as well as the actions organisations can take to create sustained trust, or to damage it. Awards Webinar NCSW 2024

Friday was all about celebrating those people who play a pivotal role in fostering positive experiences for consumers and driving sustainable business growth. We held a NCSW-exclusive UK Customer Satisfaction Awards webinar, where we shared our top tips on writing winning award entries and heard from previous award winners – including Carl Bromley, Head of Customer Experience & Support for Ageas, UK, Michael Plante, Head of Customer Operations at Specsavers and Mike Faulkner, Chair of Judges for the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards.

Our Service with Respect training

Following requests and suggestions from our members, our Academy has launched a series of training modules and workshops designed to help your organisation deal with challenging customer interactions and customer vulnerability with confidence.

Customer Service Heroes Competition

To round off the week we held a social media competition asking you and your colleagues to vote for your organisation’s Customer Service Heroes.

In celebration of National Customer Service Week, we asked you to share your winners with an example of their achievements using the hashtag #cshero on Friday.

Selecting a winner out of the numerous entries received was not an easy task. We loved seeing all of your customer service heroes in action, and the winner is… Sarah Evans, Sales & Logistics Support Team Leader at Meyer Group congratulations and well done!
