Thank you to everyone who shared their NCSW activities and interactions with us throughout the week – your commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is truly inspiring, and it is organisations like yours that make a significant impact on customer experiences.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing your efforts shared on social media and how you celebrated throughout the week in your organisations. Below are some of our highlights from LinkedIn and X.
We are sorry if you have not been featured – we had too many to include all of them! You can follow the #NCSW2024 hashtag on Twitter and LinkedIn for more posts.

Listen to our CEO, Jo Causon, discuss some of this year’s National Customer Service Week highlights:
| Monday:
To mark the start of National Customer Service Week, we held an interactive webinar where we discussed how our Academy can help enhance the service skills, confidence, and capabilities of teams at all levels. The session included an overview of our Academy offering, including our wide range of workshops, qualifications and training courses, as well as a member discussion with Sara McCann, Team Manager, Customer Excellence Hub at Scottish Water.
| Wednesday:
On Wednesday, we launched our brand new podcast, ‘Causon & The Customer’. In this first episode, our CEO, Jo Causon, sat down with Chris Pitt, CEO of first direct, to explore what it truly takes to lead with service in mind. From driving customer-centric strategies to understanding customer needs, Chris shared invaluable insights on effective service leadership and the evolving customer landscape.
| Thursday:
On Thursday, we discussed the link between risk, reputation & trust.
Our Breakthrough Research, ‘Who do you Trust’, examines the influence of customers’ experiences with organisations on their levels of trust as well as the actions organisations can take to create sustained trust, or to damage it. The research also assesses the impact of trust on buying behaviour, business and financial performance. Watch the webinar recording here if you missed it.
| Friday:
Friday was all about celebrating those people who play a pivotal role in fostering positive experiences for consumers and driving sustainable business growth. We held a NCSW-exclusive UK Customer Satisfaction Awards webinar, where we shared our top tips on writing winning award entries and heard from previous award winners – including Carl Bromley, Head of Customer Experience & Support for Ageas, UK, Michael Plante, Head of Customer Operations at Specsavers and Mike Faulkner, Chair of Judges for the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards.
Following requests and suggestions from our members, our Academy has launched a series of training modules and workshops designed to help your organisation deal with challenging customer interactions and customer vulnerability with confidence.
To round off the week we held a social media competition asking you and your colleagues to vote for your organisation’s Customer Service Heroes.
In celebration of National Customer Service Week, we asked you to share your winners with an example of their achievements using the hashtag #cshero on Friday.
Selecting a winner out of the numerous entries received was not an easy task. We loved seeing all of your customer service heroes in action, and the winner is… Sarah Evans, Sales & Logistics Support Team Leader at Meyer Group – congratulations and well done!
