Many of the current economic issues facing the UK stem from short-term decision-making at the expense of a more considered and strategic focus on the future. This is also a factor for the customer service sector, which currently generates around 80% of the UK’s GDP.
Regardless of who the electorate chooses at next year’s General Election, there is a strong need to put the service agenda front and centre of any plans for driving business productivity and improving economic performance.
To address this, we have created a manifesto titled Building a Service Nation, which you can read below. It covers our four key asks of the next Government covering service excellence, professionalisation, protecting our public facing staff, and improving governance. It also details why we are making these asks, and how they relate to the improvement of UK business and economy.
